What does Sykee do?

Sykee is a modern mental health specific support provider. For people of all ages, conditions, and walks of life.

Whether you need assistance to engage back into to the community, mentorship, weekly drop in’s, counselling, psychological assessment and rehabilitation, or just someone to talk to. What services are provided at Sykee?

The services provided by Sykee are as currently aa follows; Sykee Support Work, Counselling and Psychology. Designed to provide connectivity between your mental health supports, in a comprehensive, and accessible solution.

Sykee Support Work is a support service for people living with psychosocial challenges. The services that we provide under Sykee Support Work are; social engagement, life coaching, community participation, in-home support, transportation, skill building, mentoring, companionship and therapy assistance. We also provide support for End of life Companionship, a care provided to our senior citizens and their family members, who may be living with dementia and other related conditions. This service provides the support to cope with changes, and to validate their life experiences.

Counselling is also known as talk-therapy, a service which consists of one-on-one face-to-face or over the phone counselling sessions with a licensed, and trained psychotherapist. This service helps people with a broad variety of mental health challenges, and emotional difficulties.

Psychology is a support provided by an AHPRA registered, Mental Health clinician for people living with any type of mental health condition.

Is it safe to use Sykee's services?

Safety of our clients and the community is of utmost important to us. At Sykee, all our support workers undergo a strict hiring process which include reference checks, qualification checks, police checks and working With children checks.

All our Sykee Support Workers also undergo on-going training to ensure they are fully equipped to be able to support our clients and the community.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No, you do not need a referral from your GP to seek mental health support from Sykee. If you are in a position to make use of governement assistance to access our services, we will guide you through the right steps and procedures to support you finacially throughout your rehabilitaiton process.

How fast can the customer care team at Sykee find the right support worker for me?

At Sykee, we handpick the most suitable Sykee support service based on your preferences and requirements. We connect you with our most suitable supports as quickly as possible. You can expect an offering of support with a profile, within 1-2 business days.

How do I get started with Sykee?

All our clients will be asked to fill out a series of questions which allow us to find the right support to connect you with.

In order to get started, the first step is to fill out our online form or call us on 1800 256 054 so we can find the best possible selection of carers within 24 - 48 hours, for you or your loved one.

The second step is for us to find and provide you with a selection of our available Sykee Support profiles that suit your specific needs and requirements.

The third step involves getting you in touch with your Sykee support person, in the way you feel most comfortable. This can take place in-person for a meet and greet, over the phone or even online.

Can Sykee support workers work alongside my current support and psychotherapy network?

Yes, at Sykee; we work alongside clients who already have a therapuetic network for the betterment of our client's mental wellbeing and rehabilitation.

What mental health conditions can Sykee support?

Sykee supports various mental health conditions, such as;

Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder Bipolar Schizophrenia. Accessibility to Sykee's services is not limited to condition type, age, or background.

Do Sykee support workers have cars?

Yes, all our Sykee Support Workers must have access to a car and an Australian driver’s licence.

Do Sykee support workers do overnight sessions, one-on-two or two-on-one sessions?

Yes, at Sykee we are able to provide sessions depending on various requirements. This may invol ve day time sessions, overnight sessions, one-on-one sessions, one-on-two sessions or even two-on-one sessions.

What locations does Sykee provide services?

Our current capacity effectively spans the Greater Sydney area.

Is Sykee a registered NDIS provider?

As of this time, Sykee is not a registered NDIS provider as our registration is currently in process. However, we adhere to NDIS policy and guildelines to the best of our ability, set out to NDIA registered providers, none the less.

What is the cancellation policy at Sykee?

Sykee has a 48 hour weekday cancellation policy, where 100% of the booked session is billable; subject to our cancellation policy and procedure. This is to protect our personnel's livelihoods, while ensuring our personnel is made available to you during the times you need them most.

Does Sykee offer support coordination?

Unfortunately, Sykee does not offer support coordination, however we work closely with reputable support coordinators and can assist you in refferal.

Does Sykee charge for transportation during a session?

Yes, we charge $1 per KM.

What type of funding does Sykee accept?

At Sykee, we accept various forms of funding; including funding from the NDIS, mental health care packages, health insurance, and private funding.
